Meet Our New President and CEO
Mike Fester
Mike brings to
Job Point 15 years of experience in the human services field. Most recently
he served as Deputy Director for the Missouri Department of Social Services/Family
Support Division, as Legislative Liaison and Director of Rehabilitation Services
for the Blind . In this capacity he had direct oversight of 114 employees
and an annual budget of $16 million. Immediately prior to joining the
Missouri Department of Social Services, Mike spent over 10 years with Boys & Girls
Town of Missouri, as Director of Marketing, Resident Director and, for the
last 2 years, as Assistant to the Executive Director. Mike earned his B.S.
degree in Business Administration from Columbia College and his MBA from Webster
University.
Of his position
with Job Point, Mike says, “I
am excited about the opportunity that the Board of Directors has given me
to lead this organization. I am awed at the professionalism and expertise
of the staff of the agency and look forward to supporting them in our mission
of promoting the abilities of individuals seeking employment and greater
participation in community life.”
Mike is a native Missourian, born in Lincoln County, moving to the Rolla/St.
James area at age 5. He is the proud father of 2 boys ages 20 and 17. Jake
is a Sophomore at MU, and Garrett a Senior at Rolla High School. He describes
himself as a country music fan, a newspaper junkie, a fan of all Mizzou sports
and loves college athletics in general. His hobbies are golf and horses.
